How Rankings Are Weighted

Every ranked guide on this site publishes the factors that were scored, the relative weight given to each factor, and the products that were excluded along with the reason for exclusion. Weights are not adjusted per article to produce a preferred outcome. If the manufacturer with the best affiliate terms made the weakest product, that product loses the ranking.

Current Affiliate Relationships

We maintain affiliate relationships with various retailers. The existence of an affiliate relationship is not a factor in whether a product is reviewed or recommended. A product without an affiliate program can appear in our recommended lists; a product with a high commission rate can receive a negative review.
